He was born in Anzio, a city on the coast of Rome, on the 2nd July 1950.
He graduated from the Conservatory "Santa Cecilia"
of Rome with the teacher Jolanda Altea Magnoni.
He won prestigious international competitions such as the ENAL of Palermo, the Mario Del Monaco
and the Callas
He attended courses of improvement with the tenors Mario Del Monaco and Franco Corelli.
He debuted in the Teatro dell'Opera of Rome in Madam Butterfly, playing the role of Pinkerton (1980) and from there he started to sing in the most important theatres of the world: from "La Scala" of Milan to the "Covent Garden" of London, from the Opera' of Paris to the Arena of Verona, in the theatres of Vienna, Madrid and Amburgo.
He has been directed by the greatest conductors, such as Gavazzeni, Oren, Muti, Peter maag, Arena and directors such as Ronconi, Sequi, De Ana, Bolognini, and Montaldo.
He has done more than 1,800 representations, with an immense repertoire that goes from Puccini to Verdi, from Giordano to Mascagni and Bizet.
Besides operas, he sings in many concerts all around the world, including Russia, Japan, China and Korea.
He has recorded in Tosca and Madama Butterfy with the soprano Rajna Kabainwaska and Maria Egizziaca of Ottorino Respighi in world-wide representation and Madama Butterfly from Arena of Verona in mondovisione.
He has received prizes and acknowledgments from ambassadors and ministers of many countries around the world, in occasion of international exhibitions for humanitary scopes.
Alongside his tenor career, he also teaches at the Conservatory "G.B. Pergolesi"
of Fermo and holds the position of Artistic Director at the Civic School "B. GIGLI" of Recanati, where he teaches improvement courses and starter to the lyric theatre.
